Things to do on a bus: Draw, apply make-up and file one’s nails.
Taking the number 196 bus from Herne Hill to Brixton, I sat at the back of the top deck, there I was able to observe a lot of different activities. One woman in front of me on my left was filing her nails. Another woman immediately in front of me was applying blusher and gazing at the results from a compact mirror, it was her I drew. Then, of course, there was me drawing. So, who out of all of us was doing the oddest thing on that bus?
