I have no use for other people’s rubbish.
Waiting at the bus stop to get to work, I spotted a few abandoned pieces: A tatty mattress and slightly rusty bath tub. It took a while to draw this, nearly two weeks, as I drew much of this on my commutes, where often I had only a few minutes at a time to work on it. Onsite I started with a quick sketch on my smartphone, but I took a photograph with the same device to capture a few details I wouldn’t have remembered or had time to note, such as the different shades of the glazed tiles on the wall in the background.
