The morning I got food envy…

The dad in this picture was asking his young daughter: “Are you still hungry, had enough?”. As she was eating, he explained the meaning of the colours of the lines o the Tube map, especially “the green and yellow ones”. This scene is not very crowded, it being from a quiet Saturday morning, a time I’d usually be asleep but I was on my way to teach in a workshop on digital drawing at the RIBA. I just had a breakfast of fruit and coffee, the girl’s breakfast muffin made me realise I wanted a much more substantial breakfast!
This drawing was created in the midst of a heatwave, hence all the shorts and legs on show. Due to the heat, there were quite a few times when I’d fall asleep on the Tube when I should have been drawing, so this piece perhaps took longer than it should to be completed.
A film of the drawing being created:
Medium: Digital drawing created on an iPhone 6 and using Adobe Illustrator Draw app
