With a steady hand and good coordination, this woman managed to apply blusher on her cheeks as the train moved between Brixton and Oxford Circus stations. It was crowded during the morning rush hour, but I spotted her in a gap between the people standing up after the train left Stockwell. Applying make-up on a moving vehicle is a talent, but is it any different in skill to drawing on the Tube using a phone?

As usual, this started off as a 15-minute quick sketch which I worked up over many subsequent Tube journeys. Watch the speeded-up video of this drawing’s creation, via Instagram:
